∙IMPORTANT NOTES: (Read before using program!)
a) VGA2.EXE and VGA2.DOC must be copied as a set for distribution.
b) You may not benefit professionally from this program. It is not to be
sold in any manner.
c) The author of VGA2.EXE disclaims any responsibility for damages
caused by the use of this program, including but not limited to, the
loss of data, revenue, and wages. The user agrees to the terms of
this disclaimer if VGA2.EXE is used.
∙INTRODUCTION:
VGA2.EXE is a VGA 320x200x256 Screen Saver. It must be stressed that this
program is for VGA equiped systems ONLY! Please make sure that your system
is compatible before attempting to use VGA2.EXE.
∙STARTUP:
When you start VGA2.EXE you may pass a Display Speed Parameter that will
control the drawing speed of the program. (This has the same effect as typing
1,2,3...0 when the program is already running).
Format: VGA2U [n] (Unregistered)
Format: VGA2R [n] (Registered)
Where n is a number from 0 to 100. 0 will bring up the program at maximum
drawing speed while 100 will bring it up at the lowest drawing speed. For the
unregistered version a Help screen will first appear. Just hit the ENTER key
to start.
∙KEYBOARD CONTROLS:

color.
∙Control Keys: (* Denotes Registered Version only)
ESC Quit Program
1,2,3...0 Display Speed
+ Adjust Display Speed +1
- Adjust Display Speed -1
F1 HELP Screen
·Selection of a number key will cause the program to change the
drawing speed. 1 = slowest speed 0= highest drawing speed. (The
logic for this was due to the location of the numeric keys at
the top of the keyboard).
* D,d Change Screen Pattern
* U/D Adjust Vertical Screen Pattern Settings (Cursor Keys)
* L/R Adjust Horizontal Screen Pattern Settings (Cursor Keys)
* Z,? Cycle Palette
* [,< Slow down Palette Cycle
* ],> Speed up Palette Cycle
·The 'Z" or 'z' or '?' key will cause the program to cycle through
the colors used to draw all of the displays. The '[' or '<' keys
will slow down the time when the colors will change and the ']'
or '>' keys will speed it up. It would be best to experiment with
the Display Speed and the Palette Cycle Speed to obtain a eye
appealing screen display.
NOTE: Some VGA hardware combinations cause an instantaneous change
in color, when switching to a new palette, while others will display
the palette change on the screen giving an interesting effect. I
prefer the latter, however, the pattern being drawn is temporarily
halted until the palette has been completely updated.
No payment is required for the use of this program, however, if you do register
your copy of VGA2.EXE I will send you the latest update to the full version. To
register your copy please send $5.00 to the address below.
